Everything you need to know about migrating to Infomaniak.

How long does a full migration take?

It depends on the volume. For 5-10 mailboxes, allow 2-3 days. For 10-50 mailboxes, about a week. Beyond that, we plan a phased migration. Data transfer happens in the background without interrupting your work.

Will I lose emails during the migration?

No. We first synchronize the entire history, then perform a final sync at the time of the switchover. Both systems coexist temporarily. No email is lost.

Will there be a service interruption?

No significant interruption. During DNS propagation (a few hours), some emails may arrive on the old server: we recover them with a final synchronization. Your users will hardly notice any difference.

Will my email aliases be preserved?

Yes, we recreate all your aliases on Infomaniak. If you had contact@, info@, support@ pointing to a mailbox, it will remain identical.

What about shared calendars?

Shared calendars are exported then recreated on Infomaniak with the same access rights. We document the structure before migration to ensure nothing is missed. CalDAV handles sharing very well.

Do I need to reconfigure Outlook / my phone?

Yes, email clients need to point to the new servers. We can either do it for you (workstation setup service), or provide step-by-step documentation. It's quick: a few minutes per device.

Does Outlook for Windows support CalDAV?

Not natively, but there are free plugins like CalDAV Synchronizer that work very well. On Mac and mobile, it's built-in. Alternatively, you can use the Infomaniak webmail for calendars.

What happens to my email rules / filters?

Server-side rules (Microsoft 365) cannot be transferred automatically. We recreate them manually on Infomaniak or directly in your email client. Please provide us with the list.

Do you offer support after the migration?

Yes, post-migration support is included. User questions, adjustments, unexpected issues: we remain available for several weeks after the switchover.
