Behavior

Dry run (test without copying) Simulates the migration without writing anything. Use to validate before the real run. Test login only (--justlogin) Verifies credentials without copying anything. Delete at destination if not at source Removes messages from the destination that no longer exist at the source. Sync subscribed folders only (--subscribed) Only syncs folders the user has subscribed to. Skip folder size calculation (--nofoldersizes) Faster start — skips the folder size audit. No expunge after each message (--noexpungeaftereach) Reduces IMAP commands — slightly faster on slow connections. Write log to file Saves the migration log to a file. Useful for large batches.

Message identity

Sync internal dates (--syncinternaldates) Preserves the original send/receive date of each message. Identify by Message-Id (--useheader Message-Id) Uses Message-Id header for deduplication — recommended. Combined with --addheader. Add Message-ID if missing (--addheader) Generates a Message-ID for messages that lack one — essential for deduplication. Skip cross-duplicates (--skipcrossduplicates) Skips messages already present in another folder (useful with Gmail labels). Internal date from header (--idatefromheader) Sets internal dates from the Date: header — fixes display order in Gmail.
